Taken from our Scotch Beef, ox cheeks are fast becoming a popular cut for fine dining. A great choice for impressing your dinner guests.
If held frozen, defrost thoroughly before cooking.
About 30 minutes before cooking, remove the meat from its packaging and pat dry with kitchen paper to allow the beef to come to room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 160C/Gas 3.
Brown the cheeks in a hot pan then transfer to an oven dish. Add stock and/or vegetables. Cover and transfer to the oven to cook for 2-3 hours.
